Maple Peas
Maple Peas were one of the earlier particle baits used in fishing as a bait both on the hook and loosefeed. Although not as fashionable these days, maple peas proved to be a very successful bait in the past (and still are). Maples are brown in colour, the size of a pea and can be used along with buckwheat and other particle baits. 7-8mm in size prepared, when cooked, skin softens, and inner pea becomes soft easy to digest, maples are easily flavoured to personalise, mini boilie-like loose feed or hookbait option, keeps fish feeding in an area for a prolonged period, very attractive to Carp, Bream, Roach and Tench, apply with a baiting spoon, catapult, spod, spomb or boat.
