Sandeels are best fished static as they are quite soft-fleshed fish so constant casting and retrieving associated with wobbling will soon see the baits fly off the hook. Sandeel is a great all-round bait which can be used to catch almost all species in UK waters when it is presented on the lakebed. Anglers prepare a Sandeel for bait by snipping off the tail or head of the Sandeel as this will allow the scent and juices to flow from the Sandeel and attract fish. With the tail removed the Sandeel can be threaded onto the hook in a similar manner to a worm. If the Sandeel has been freshly frozen then it should slide along the hook easily and should not split or burst.
Parcels can take 1-2+ days to deliver, we can NOT refund defrosted baits if this happens so please only order if you are okay with this. We do our best in to keep parcels frozen in the hotter weather which is more difficult, its highly recommend that you are in to take parcel when delivered to put straight into freezer.
